Private Eye Secures Everest Slot

Tara Madgwick - Monday September 18

A tough and versatile six year-old gelding by Al Maher, Private Eye shot to fame winning the Group I ATC Epsom Handicap in 2021, but has found even better form as a specialist sprinter with a lethal finishing burst finishing second in last year’s Everest to Giga Kick.

He was snapped up by slot-holders Max Whitby and Neil Werrett. They have twice finished second in The Everest with Vega Magic (2017) and Masked Crusader (2021).
