A late addition to the Hunter Valley stallion ranks this year is Exceed and Excel’s superbly bred Group III winning million dollar earning sprinter Signore Fox, who retires to Alma Vale Thoroughbreds at Scone.
Signore Fox was a $300,000 Inglis Easter Yearling purchase for Snowden Racing and proved a tough and talented competitor for the stable winning nine races, four of them in Black Type company highlighted by the Group III ATC Star Kingdom Stakes and he was also placed in the Group I BRC Stradbroke Handicap and Kingsford Smith Cup.
“Signore Fox was a beautiful horse to work with, he was tough and genuine, with a sensational turn of foot,” Paul Snowden said.
“Some of his ratings were outstanding, he was very unlucky to not win a Group I.
“He is a magnificent type, by a Champion Sire in Exceed And Excel. I look forward to securing some of his future progeny.”
Signore Fox lacks for nothing on pedigree being a half-brother to Aussie bred 2017/2018 South African Horse of the Year Oh Susanna from imported US Group II winner Sharp Susan (USA), who has left six winners from seven foals to race.
The female family bristles with international Group I winners including Spring at Last, Sharp Lisa and Foundry, so Signore Fox has great depth and quality to his pedigree to compliment his good looks and race record.
Signore Fox is priced at $9,900 (inc GST), and breeders can contact Joe Stambe on: +61 418 635 902 or via joe@stambe.com.au
