He Might Be Your Man

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 15

We’re two weeks into a new season and the cream has quickly risen to the top of the Australian General Sires List and the quinella we see right now could easily be the same quinella come the end of next July, but there is one value sire that has made a great start to the season and if you’re still looking for proven value to suit your mare he might be your man.

Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible has surged straight to the top with two new season stakes-winners in I Am Me and Tiz Invincible to take a narrow lead over Yulong’s flagship sire Written Tycoon.

Now retired Deep Field has burst from the gates with 14 winners and making his presence felt in the Top 10 with eight winners is Vinery Stud’s Headwater.

The slick sprinting son of Exceed and Excel made news last month when his outstanding Group II winning daughter Jamaea sold for $1,025,000 to Yulong on Inglis Digital and a stream of winners have kept him front and centre since then.
