Gun Runner Filly for Emirates Park

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 2

Emirates Park have a couple of mares based in North America that are in foal to champion US sire Gun Runner including Golden Slipper winner Estijaab and Group II winner One More Honey, who has produced a filly at Denali Stud in Kentucky.

A half-sister by Onemorenomore to Group I winning sprinter Vega One, One More Honey won the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes at two for Emirates Park and has been a good producer so far with her first two colts by Not a Single Doubt and Zoustar selling for $1.8million and $1million in 2021 and 2022.

The $1.8million Not a Single Doubt colt is Group II placed Man in the Mirror, while the $1million Zoustar colt was bought by the Hong Kong Jockey Club so is yet to be named.

One More Honey has a two year-old Snitzel filly called Oud that has been retained and given to Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott to train.

Gun Runner

Three Chimneys Farm have announced champion sire Gun Runner will again be made available for Southern Hemisphere time covers as he was last year, but with the added incentive of a A$500,000 bonus paid to the breeder of any resulting offspring that can win the Golden Slipper.

The SH fee of $US65,000 (AU$98,000) is slightly less than the US$75,000 (AU$110,000) he commanded last year on Southern Hemisphere covers
