Eighth Stakes Winner for Danerich

Mark Smith - Wednesday October 18

With four wins from his past five starts, the 5yo Danerich gelding Rich Charm earned a well-deserved maiden stakes victory in Wednesday's Listed Italktravel Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.

Ridden by Patrick Moloney, Rich Charm ran down Keen Array (Bel Esprit) to win by a short-head with South Australian So You Too (So You Think) two lengths back in third place.

Trained by Udyta Clarke, Rich Charm advanced his record to 7 wins, 2 seconds and 3 thirds from 16 starts with earnings of $510,900.

"It's a massive thrill for the stable, Moloney said.

"Full credit to Mrs Clarke, she's an extremely underrated trainer.

"She does a terrific job placing this horse."

Part-owned and bred by his trainer, Rich Charm is the fourth foal of the winning Kingston Mill mare Charmly who was twice placed in Melbourne.

Not served in 2015, Charmly has a 2yo filly by Moshe and was covered by Nostradamus last spring.

Rich Charm becomes the eighth stakes winner for Rangal Park Stud Danerich (Danehill) who stands his 11th season at a fee of $6,600.
