The $150,000 sprint was added to the Grand National Hurdle card on the Sandown Lakeside track after high winds forced the postponement of the majority of last Saturday's Caulfield meeting

Trainer Mick Bell decided to nominate the All Aged Stakes third placegetter for the event while Robbie Laing has also made use of another week's work and entered Lord Of The Sky for the Bletchingly Stakes.

A notable absentee is the Mick Kent-trained Supido, who was the pre-post favourite in the initial Bletchingly Stakes field.

Kent decided to skip the rescheduled race at Sandown after deciding the Listed Carlyon Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on August 26 would be a better option for the Sir John Monash Stakes winner.

The Melbourne Racing Club received 14 nominations for the Bletchingly Stakes but has extended the deadline for entries until 10am on Wednesday.

The nominations have also been extended for the $125,000 Crisp Steeplechase (3900m) after the race drew 12 initial entries.
