Second Stakes-Winner for Blue Point

Tara Madgwick - Saturday July 22

Darley shuttler Blue Point (IRE) has been making every post a winner with his first crop of European bred two year-olds and added a second stakes-winner to his tally when action Point led all the way to win the Listed Newbury Rose Bowl Stakes (6f) overnight in the UK.

Trained by Archie Watson and ridden by Hollie Doyle, Action Point was first and second at his first two starts back in April and May before disappointing at Royal Ascot when unplaced in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes won by another son of Blue Point in Big Evs.

He bounced back swiftly from that outing, to race on the pace and kick clear to win by a length and a half and holds an entry for the Group II Gimcrack stakes at York next month.

Blue Point returns to Darley Victoria at a fee of $44,000.
