Allow Me Makes it 22 for Spirit Of Boom

Mark Smith - Sunday July 16

Spirit Of Boom is seemingly on an unstoppable quest for leading 2yo sire of individual winners as the Stewart and Taylah Mackinnon debutant Allow Me launched down the centre of the track to make the perfect start to her career at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

Last of the eight runners making the home turn, Allow Me came widest of all under Ben Thompson in the 1000m scamper to defeat the Sidestep first starter Quade by three-quarters of a length with a half-neck back to the favourite Capital Cee (Capitalist), his third minor placing in four starts.

A homebred for Craig Stott, Allow Me is the second winner from four to race for the 3-time winning Bel Esprit mare Mystical Bel who was pensioned last year after foaling a sister to Allow Me and missing to Neorealism (JPN).

Allow Me is the 22nd 2yo winner from 36 starters for Spirit Of Boom, extending his margin over I Am Invincible and Russian Revolution to three.

ong>Spirit Of Boom covered 182 mares last spring for $33,000 and will have a slight increase to $38,500 at Eureka Stud in 2023.
