Caulfield Cup fancy Bonneval will be examined by Racing Victoria vets on Wednesday afternoon.
RV chief steward Terry Bailey indicated Murray Baker's Kiwi contender would be scrutinised by vets before being cleared to take her place in Saturday's $3 million Caufield Cup.
Baker insists the mare, a $7.50 chance in latest markets, is a "good as gold'' to run in the Caulfield Cup despite suffering cuts to her offside hind leg and being found to be lame in her near side leg by RV vets after Saturday's Group I Caulfield Stakes.
Bonneval has been given the all-clear by Baker's vet but Bailey said RV vets wanted to examine the mare on Wednesday afternoon.
Kerrin McEvoy rode Bonneval on Wednesday morning and tweeted, "She is moving well and is nice and bright".
