Impressive Debut Winner for Written By

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 5

Widden Stud’s young gun Written By posted an impressive debut winner in Perth on Wednesday with the Grant and Alana Williams trained filly Written Melody scoring an easy victory.

She won a trial at Lark Hill last month and ran up to that form, settling back in the field and producing a powerful late finish to zoom home and win the 1000m scamper by more than two lengths.

A $60,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase for Williams Racing from the Misty Valley Thoroughbreds at Greenfields Lodge draft, Written Melody is the first winner for winning Lonhro mare Amthaal, a savvy $95,000 Magic Millions Broodmare Sale purchase in 2020 for Misty Valley Thoroughbreds/Boomer Bloodstock when she was in foal to Written By.
