Reward For Effort has capped off a huge season by setting the all time Victorian record for 3rd Season Sire Earnings.

From three crops racing this season, Reward For Effort sired 77 winners, 127 wins,4 Stakes Winners and4 Stakes Place Getters.

Highlights of the 2016-17 season include Desert Lashes remaining undefeated in 8 starts and becoming a Stakes Winner. Replay

Reward for EffortHis progeny earnings this season of $3,702,297 surpass the total set by any other Victorian sire in history for their corresponding season.

In comparison, Written Tycoon sired $2,230,730 and two Stakes Winners in his third season. Bel Esprit once dominated the Victorian sire ranks, in his 3rd season he sired progeny earnings of $2,955,858 and three Stakes Winners.

Along with this, Reward For Effort sired eleven 2YO winners (equal 1st for Victorian sires), thirty three 3YO winners (1st for Victorian sires) and four Stakes Winners (2nd in Victoria).

Reward For Effort is also Australia's Champion 3rd Season Sire for Winners and Wins, in front of Hinchinbrook, Star Witness etc.

Exceed and Excel's best sire son has attracted higher quality mares each season and will cover his best book in 2017. Victoria's best breeders are sending excellent mares to him this year, with one notable visitor being the dam of Million Dollar earner, Lord Of The Sky.

There is still limited room in Reward For Effort's book for this season, standing at a fee of $16,500 inc GST.
