“With his background in the industry, his passion and knowledge of bloodstock, this position will be the perfect role for him to develop and utilise those skills in the next stage of his career.

“He has already built some great relationships with our buyers and vendors, and I know he will be a fantastic asset to the bloodstock team going forward.”

Cunningham, who has also been seen as a regular bidspotter over the last six years, is excited about the new role.

“It’s been a wonderful two years working full-time at NZB, particularly alongside Haylie, and I hold a lot of pride in what we’ve achieved via the online sales platform.”

“It’s an exciting time for the industry and I truly believe there is plenty to look forward to.

“I’m ready for the challenge in moving to the bloodstock team, and grateful for the opportunity,” commented Cunningham.

Cunningham will take up his new role as Bloodstock Sales Representative at the beginning of the season and will be based in the Waikato alongside Jones.
