Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday June 6

Six heats for juveniles at Rosehill on Tuesday morning produced some interesting winners including the three-quarter sister to $5.8million earning dual Group I winner Trekking and expensive unraced youngsters by I Am Invincible and Zoustar, both sold by Segenhoe Stud.

Godolphin have taken their time with the big Street Boss (USA) filly Waterski and she improved at her second trial to win hard held with $2million I Am Invincible filly I Am Famous having a quiet trial for third.

Waterski is a three-quarter sister to G1 Stradbroke Handicap winner Trekking and is the fifth foal from well bred Redoute’s Choice mare Outdoor, whose previous four foals are all winners. Waterski is bred on the same cross as Anamoe and like him has some real depth to her female family with her dam a daughter of Champion 3YO Filly and VRC And Australian Oaks winner Serenade Rose. Might be one to Black Book for spring.

Peter and Paul Snowden produced good looking I Am Invincible colt Andronicus for the first time and he did everything right, sliding up the fence under a hold to win narrowly.

Andronicus was a $1.35million Inglis Easter purchase.

A $1.35million Inglis Easter purchase for James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership from the Segenhoe Stud draft, Andronicus is a half-brother to stakes-winner Millane from Group II winning Snitzel mare Fireworks.

Chris Waller does love his Zoustar fillies and Joliestar looks to have plenty of natural talent, jumping  quickly and working forward to lead at her second trial and first this prep. She kept a good gallop to the line to win by a head.

A $950,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Cambridge Stud from the Segenhoe Stud draft, Joliestar is bred on the same cross as stable star Zougotcha and is a half-sister to Group place-getters God of Thunder and Emperor being from Group II winning Fastnet Rock mare Jolie Bay, a full sister to dual Group I winner and Royal Ascot hero Merchant Navy.

Joliestar was a $950,000 Inglis Easter purchase

Additional heat winners were: One Last Shot (All Too Hard), Shaken (I Am Invincible) and Arctic Glamour (Frosted (USA).
