Five Things We Learned from The Everest

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 16
And what were they?.

1/ Massive prizemoney ($10million on one race) does make a difference – look at that crowd! Australia's richest race put Sydney Spring racing front and centre for the very first time.

Apparently there was another meeting on Saturday at Caulfield, who knew?

2/ Snitzel will be the Champion Australian Sire for 2017/2018.

With a $7million buffer over his nearest rival, they might as well engrave that trophy now and send it over to John Messara and his team at Arrowfield.

3/ James Harron can turn straw into gold.
This hard working bloodstock agent found a new way to make money for his clients in choosing Redzel to take up his Everest slot.

Turns out buying fast colts is not the only way to make millions!

4/ Gelding a horse is a game changer. Redzel was gelded after winning just one of his first five starts. In 15 starts since, he has won nine races and finished second four times earning a grand total of $7.1 million.

If gelding can do this for a horse, think what it could do for a man!

5/ Inglis and Magic Millions can both claim the success of Redzel , who was sold first as a weanling by Inglis for $45,000 to Marquee Stud, who put him back through Magic Millions as a yearling (pictured below)  where he was bought by Triple Crown syndications for $120,000.

Expect to see a lot of Redzel in sales company promotion from both Inglis and Magic Millions!
