Holbrook Broodmare Sale Hidden Gems

If the Chairman’s Sale on Thursday night is priced is a little out of your league, the good news is there is only one more day to wait before the Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale on Friday with Holbrook Thoroughbreds offering a significant draft.

Included in the 18 strong draft prepared by Julie Harris and her team are a dozen mares offered in the Peters Investments Unreserved Reduction.

Lot 244 Neverland (Big Brown) – Stakes-winning sibling to G2 winners Demonetization and Midnight Blue from the family of Inspirational Girl, who sells in the Chairman’s Sale. Produced a colt by So You Think last year and not covered after.

 

Paris Romance

Lot 245 Paris Romance (Redoute’s Choice) – Winning grand-daughter of stakes-winner Lady Belvedere and is proven producer as the dam of stakes-placed Fine Romance and G3 placed Pure Devotion who is offered in the Chairman’s Sale. Produced a colt by So You Think last year.

 

Sublime Image

Lot 247 Sublime Image (Redoute’s Choice) – Metro winning sibling to stakes-winners Dark Alert and Windstorm from G3 winner Storm Alert, also third in G1 VRC Oaks. From family of G1 winner Hardrada and produced a filly by Shooting to Win last year.

 

Candyland

Lot 251 Candlyand (NZ) (Tavistock) – Unraced sister to G1 winner and HK Horse of the Year Werther, G1 Australasian Oaks winner Toffee Tongue, G3 winner Gobstopper and G1 placed Milseain. Produced a colt by Pierro last year.

 

Quick's the Word

Lot 269 Quick’s the Word (Shamardal (USA) – Metro winning dam of classy stakes-winning sprinter Dragonstone, a winner of nearly $500,000. Offered in foal to G1 winning first season sire Captivant on an early service.

 

Rockolicious

Lot 274 Rockolicious (Fastnet Rock) – Stakes-winning grand-daughter of triple G1 winner Canny Lass and her first foal to race is metro winner Delicious Tycoon. Offered in foal to Golden Slipper winning first season sire Stay Inside.
