Bred to Win- Monday- Sneak Peak at Something Special

Media Release - Sunday April 23

Monday night's Bred To Win on Sky Thoroughbred Central includes a snippet of vision in the Aushorse News segment from one of the world's great equestrian competitions, now known as the Adelaide Equestrian Festival.

Sam Woods and Shenae Lowings with Bold Venture.

NSW riders dominated what was formerly the Adelaide International Three Day Event with the winners of both the elite 5* competition and the 4* event carrying plenty of thoroughbred blood.

Shenae Lowings is one of Australia's great eventing talents and won the 4* event with her internationally successful thoroughbred Bold Venture, registered in the Australian Studbook as Hell On Wheels. The now 12yo gelding is by Sir Tristram's son Devaraja, with the champion New Zealand sire renowned for producing superior off track thoroughbred competitors.

Bold Venture and Shenae Lowings are a winning combination.

Shane Rose won a record equalling third 5* title in Adelaide with his accomplished warmblood/thoroughbred cross, Virgil. By influential warmblood sire Vivant his damline features Northern Dancer and some more recent Australian sire influences. Their win on Sunday after a clear round in the show jumping secured a place for the pair in the Australian team for next year's Paris Olympic Games.

A full story on the Adelaide 3DE also featuring Sam Woods and his thoroughbred Cage Fighter (Cagey by Shrewdy) will feature in the return of Caroline Searcy's thoroughbred rehoming program Thoroughbreds Are Go on Sky Thoroughbred Central in May.

Monday's Bred To Win features an update on stallion announcements, racing from around Australia and NZ, Arrowfield Stud's US representative Case Clay, Henry Plumptre with news from New Zealand's Cambridge Stud and Racing SA's Thoroughbred Welfare boss John Cornell in Arrowfield Stud's Horse Who Made You Love Racing. 7.30pm Eastern, Sky Thoroughbred Central - Foxtel Ch 528
