Shock Passing of I’m Thunderstruck

Tragic news yesterday from the Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr stable with the loss of stable star I’m Thunderstruck due to a post-surgical complication resulting in him being euthanised.

The $8million earning gelding had undergone routine minor surgery to remove a small chip on a fetlock and suffered a catastrophic injury in recovery, which is rare, but not uncommon.

quo;m Thunderstruck won the Group I VRC Makybe Diva Stakes, MRC Toorak Handicap as well the Golden Eagle and was second in last year’s Cox Plate.

 

He was adored by his owners and loved by all the staff at Price Kent Racing.
