Greg Northcott Retires as Airfreight Manager, Sharon McDowell to Take the Reins

Media Release - Thursday March 23

It is with sadness that New Zealand Bloodstock announces the retirement of longstanding NZB Airfreight Manager Greg Northcott.

Having been with the company since 1999, Northcott has garnered enormous respect among the wider equine industry for his achievements in that time.

Greg Northcott is retiring.

“Greg has been absolutely outstanding in his role, he has built great relationships over the years and has huge respect from our clients and suppliers,” commented NZB Managing Director Andrew Seabrook.

“He has led his team admirably through some very tough times, navigating equine freighting through challenges such as Equine Influenza and COVID-19.

“More recently, Greg has managed to coordinate flights to China and Korea, an accomplishment others have found impossible to achieve.

“We’d like to thank Greg for his work over the years and wish him the best for a well-deserved retirement,” commented Seabrook.

Fellow colleague and longstanding staff member Sharon McDowell will take the reins as the new NZB Airfreight Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge.

The Australian-based operations will continue to be managed by Josh Murphy.

Northcott will remain with NZB Airfreight until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.
