Invincible Yarraman Park Inglis Easter Draft

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 22

There is no stallion going better than Yarraman Park’s flagship sire I Am Invincible, who leads the Australian General Sires List by winners (145), earnings ($16.4million) and stakes-winners (17) and as usual their draft for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale features a selection of his very best offspring.

Yarraman Park will present 17 yearlings – nine by I Am Invincible - at Riverside Stables and the Inglis Easter Preview on Sky this week highlighted several of the potential show-stoppers. Click to see the full draft.

Lot 277 is an I Am Invincible colt from Group III winner Octavia that may well be on the cusp of a big pedigree update as his full brother is $2.2million earning Group III winning sprinter King of Sparta.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained four year-old gelding was a close last start fourth in the Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate and is an acceptor for the Group I MVRC William Reid Stakes on Friday night.

The form out of the Oakleigh Plate is looking very strong with the horses that finished in front of King of Sparta - Uncommon James, Lofty Strike and Asfoora – all running well in Group I sprints at their next start.

Lot 271 is the I Am Invincible half-sister to Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate winner Booker and stakes-winner Banquo from top producing Flying Spur mare Noondie.

Bred on the same cross as the mighty Home Affairs and three more stakes-winners, this filly was described as being ‘born an elite foal’ and nothing has changed since!

Her half-sister Booker sold for $1.6million as a broodmare prospect at the 2020 Inglis Chairman’s Sale and her first foal, a colt by I Am Invincible, sold for $2.5 million at Magic Millions this year to Ciaron Maher Bloostock.

Noondie produced another filly by I Am Invincible last spring and is back in foal to him, while Booker also had another I Am Invincible filly in 2022 before being covered by Home Affairs, so this is a family on the up.

Lot 164 is a gorgeous I Am Invincible filly from Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Heavens Above, a daughter of champion sire Street Cry (IRE).

She is the second foal of Heavens Above, whose first foal I Am Heaven (2f I Am Invincible has been retained by her breeder Reg Kemister and is in work with Brad Widdup.

The I Am Invincible x Street Cry cross is running at 100% success with seven runners all winners highlighted by Group II winner Shuffle Dancer, stakes-winner Waltz on By and stakes placed Forbidden City and Rubamos.
