Racenet lays for Saturday

Breednet - Friday October 13

A big Group I weekend and the Racenet analysts have put their heads together to give punters another tool to help them turn a profit with the Racenet lays of the day.

We're taking aim at one at Randwick.

Below are the favoured runners that the Racenet men have discounted as winning chances on the weekend.

BIG DUKE

$2.80

The favourite following his good run in The Metropolitan but meets a strong field for the renewal of this race. Tempo looks the key and if there is no early speed  then it should suit but he’s up in the weights from last season’s Sydney Cup and at the price looks a decent risk.

BONNEVAL

$2.90

Cannot fault her form having won her last six however, we just think that still racing at 2000m she might be looking for the 2400m of the Caulfield Cup now. The wide draw not a problem as she will go back but this  could also become a tactical affair and if it did develop into a sit and sprint she might be vulnerable - and the price is looking plenty short enough to us.

Doomben

NO ANNAMOSSITY

$2.60

Already been well backed but likely to find this a bit harder than last start win at the Sunshine Coast Coast. Drawn wide but is a get back and run on horse but this race looks to have several winning chances and the odds on offer No Annamossity look too skinny for us.

Morphettville

THE WILLYBE

$1.80

Broke through to score last start after a series of placings but pays for that with a 2.5kg weight increase and meets a couple he beat worse off at the weights. The likely leader and of course he can win but is he an odds-on chance? Not for us

VARIATION

$2.40

Classy four-year-old which cut a swathe through his own age last season but he is resuming here and tackling some handy older horses. Drawn barrier 11 which will not help and suspect he has bigger goals than this later in the preparation so prepared to take him on at the price.
