A modest $80,000 Magic Millions Book 2 purchase for Emirates from the Yarramalong Park draft, Better Than Ready filly Ana Jaahza was well fancied in the 1100m maiden and surged to the line for Michael Dee to hold off a late challenge from Mollyknickers.

Ana Jaahza is the first winner from an interesting import by Lonhro in Merirosvo (USA), a winner at Santa Anita over 7f and fourth in the Group II Santa Anita Virgenes Stakes.

She is a grand-daughter of Champion US 3YO Filly Smuggler, whose dam is another Champion US Mare in Inside Information.

Merirosvo has no yearling for the sales this year, but had a colt by Better Than Ready last year and is back in foal to him again.

Ana Jaahza is the eighth juvenile winner of the season for Better Than Ready, who has a massive draft of yearlings for the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Sale.
