Minor confusion at Caulfield Guineas barrier draw

Brad Waters - Tuesday October 10

A touch of confusion reigned at the barrier draw for Saturday's Caulfield Guineas.

Connections of Caulfield Guineas favourite Royal Symphony thought they had drawn barrier six for Saturday's $2 million event because a line to distinguish the numbers six and nine on the number underneath a replica trophy was hard to see.

Chief steward Terry Bailey inspected the trophy picked up by Royal Symphony's part-owner Amanda Dunn before declaring the colt had drawn barrier nine.

Below is the barrier draw for Saturday's Caulfield Guineas.
