At Rosehill, So You Think sired Titanium Power and Excelladus to win over 1200 and 1400m, while at Sandown his veteran nine year-old gelding So Si Bon bowled over the short priced favourite Detonator Jack to win the Benchmark 100 handicap over 1700m by the best part of a length under Jamie Kah.

The star on the rise for So You Think was the Mike Moroney trained four year-old So You See, who scored a commanding win carrying 60kg in the Benchmark 70 event for mares over 1600m.

So You See has shown glimmers of serious stakes potential in her career to date, notably when a close fourth in the Group II VRC Kewney Stakes to Barb Raider, so 2023 might be her time to shine.

Winning rider Jamie Mott has ridden the mare in all bar one of her seven starts and believes there is much more in store.

uo;She deserves to be winning races as she has great ability,” said Mott.

“It’s only her second win, so getting her back in that winner’s stall is great. She gives me the feeling she wants further. She’s a promising mare.”

Retained to race by her breeders, So You See is bred to be top class and is the first winner from Group III winning Duke of Marmalade (IRE) mare Lady Cumquat, a sibling to NZ Horse of the Year and triple G1 winner Bonneval, Group winners Lord Arthur, Imposing Lass and Full of Spirt, plus stakes-winner and G1 New Zealand Derby place-getter Frontman.

So You Think has 31 entries for Magic millions Book 1 and 2.
