Cambridge Stud shuttler Almanzor (Fr) sire a new stakes-winner overnight in France with Katoucha taking out the Listed Prix Petite Etoile (1900m) on the all weather track at Deauville.
Three year -old filly Katoucha powered home to score by two lengths in a big field of 14 runners and has now won four of 10 starts.
Katoucha is the first stakes-winner among six winners from good producer Perfect Day, a Holy Roman Emperor daughter of Group I winning Sadler’s Wells mare Yesterday.
She is the seventh stakes-winner for Almanzor, who has 59 entries for NZB Yearling Sales Book 1 and 2 at Karaka.
