More Stakes Success London Banker – Half-Brother for K1

Winner of the Group III Tattersalls Cup over 2400m at Eagle Farm in June, Tavistock gelding London Banker (NZ)  was back in the winning groove at Doomben on Friday taking out the $150,000 Listed BRC Brisbane Handicap (1640m).

Trained by Kelly Schweida, the seven year-old gelding did best in a thrilling finish to score a neck win under James Orman taking his overall record to 10 wins and five placings from 31 starts with prizemoney topping $500,000.

 

London Banker was a $100,000 NZB Premier Sale purchase from the Kilgravin Lodge draft for Roger James and started his career in New Zealand before switching to Australia and is owned by Ron and Judy Wanless.

London Banker is the best of three winners from Palos de Lago, a half-sister to Cox Plate winner El Segundo from Group III winner Palos Verdes.

Kilgravin Lodge will offer the current yearling by Proisir from Palos de Lago at Karaka Book 1 as Lot 406.
