There were some strong updates to the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in the past week, three at stakes level and 14 new winners into the page, headlined by the half-brother to exciting WA Guineas heroine Amelia’s Jewel.
Amelia’s Jewel was already a multiples stakes winner when the Gold Coast catalogue was released but she’s an exciting 3YO and the manner of her win on Saturday suggested she can make the next step to the very elite.
Her half-brother by Blue Point, only the third foal of the mare, is Lot 690 at the Gold Coast in the Segenhoe Stud draft.
Also in the west, Panzdown’s third in the Carbine Club Of WA Stakes (LR) added new black type to Lot 1180, a half-brother by Prized Icon in the Kooringal Stud draft.
Another stakes update was the Singapore Gold Cup runner-up Super Impact, highlighting the half-brother by Brave Smash, Lot 501 in the Attunga Stud draft at the Gold Coast.
Talented four year-old Direct earned a trip to the Gold Coast for Magic Millions day after winning the 3 & 4 YO Classic at Ballarat and his half-sister by Yes Yes Yes will be offered by Yarraman Park as Lot 512.
Notable new winners into pedigrees include:
The full-brother to Saturday’s second start Sunshine Coast 2YO winner Chrysaor, in the Yarramalong Stud draft as Lot 182.
The full-brother to Saturday’s debut Gosford winner, Invictus Lad, trained by Peter and Paul Snowden. Lot 308 in the Yarraman Park draft.
