Maiden Teams Challenge and Group I Grand Prix Highlight Saturday at Stonewall

Tara Madgwick - Sunday November 20

The second day of the TSHA National Titles at Stonewall Equestrian on Saturday produced more exciting showjumping with the inaugural Maiden Teams Challenge won by the team sponsored by Linda and Graham Huddy’s Peachester Lodge, while the National Group I Champion point score was won by a West Australian combination.

Linda Huddy and her Peachester Lodge team.

The Huddy’s have enjoyed great success racing and breeding thoroughbreds with Group I winners such as Shoot Out and Volatile Mix running in their familiar brown and gold colours.

They take lifetime care of thoroughbreds and their retraining and eventual rehoming very seriously with all three horses in their winning team owned by Peachester Lodge, click for more info..

WA raiders Sophie Stott and Allwest are National Group I Champions.

It came down to placings in the Grand Prix on Saturday to decide the title. Both Sophie Stott on Allwest and Shenae Lowings riding Bold Venture, finished on 45 points and it couldn't any closer with both these riders finishing first and second in the GP respectively.

With Sophie placing higher of the two competitors she was awarded the win.

Sponsored by Off the Track WA, Sophie has come all the way from Western Australia for this event via the Australian Championships in Melbourne so it was great to see her bring her best form across the Nullarbor.

All West is a 13yo gelding by Natural Blitz and won four races from 34 starts.

RESULTS for Class J10 sponsored by Strawberry Hill Stud in Pryde's EasiFeed arena were;

1. SOPHIE STOTT - Allwest
