There have been some super successful pinhook results at the NZB Ready to Run Sale this week with a $550,000 Hellbent colt one of the standouts and his dam Title Holder was purchased by Rathmore Bloodstock / Avesta Bloodstock at the Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale this year for just $40,000.

$550,000 Hellbent colt from Title Holder

Sydney-based bloodstock agent Andrew Williams secured the colt presented by Kilgravin Lodge.

“I thought he was one of the standout horses of the sale,” Williams said. “He is a particularly fast looking horse and I have got a lot of time for the stallion Hellbent.

“This horse is very well put together and breezed well. He also came highly recommended by Eion Kemp, who is a trusted horseman.

“This is for a new client who was wanting a sprinting style of horse.

“The horse will be given his chance, possibly in Australia, and then head to Hong Kong in time.”

Title Holder was bought for $40,000 by Avesta Bloodstock/ Rathmore Bloodstock

The colt was sourced from Inglis Classic for $120,000 from the draft of Yarraman Park, who sold his dam Title Holder, a Magic Albert mare from the family of Group I winners Keeper, Metal Bender and Amarelinha.

“She looks a great buy now and it’s a great result for us as the mare has foaled a lovely filly by Hellbent, so she is a full sister to this colt,” said Jimmy Unwala of Avesta Bloodstock.
