One to Watch – Hawkesbury

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 20

The Seymour Bloodstock colours were carried by a very promising So You Think debut winner at Hawkesbury on Thursday trained by Nathan Doyle.

Three year-old filly So You Battle showed nice ability in two recent trials at Newcastle and produced the goods on race day kicking clear for a stylish win in the 1300m maiden.

“She’s a nice filly, but whatever she’s done here today she’s going to improve on out of sight,” said Nathan Doyle.

“She didn’t quite know what to do when she got to the front, but put them away in good style.

“I thought 1300m would be ideal for her, but she will only improve as she steps up in trip.”

A homebred for Seymour Bloodstock, So You Battle is the first foal of unraced All American mare Gettysburgh, who traces back to Group I Australian Oaks winner Savana City.

So You Think

Two time Cox Plate winner So You Think blasted up into second place on the Australian General Sires List by earnings last weekend and has already put 43 winners on the board of $4.3million with four stakes-winners all of them Group winners – Nimalee, Knight’s Order, Rocketing By and Gentleman Roy.

So You think stands at Coolmore at a fee of $93,500.
