Bluebloods Set to Debut on Wednesday

Mark Smith - Monday September 26

Two bluebloods are set to debut in the Fujitsu General 3yo Maiden (1200m) at Rosehill on Wednesday.

The Michael, Wayne, and John Hakes-trained gelding Golden Age is a son of champion stallion I Am Invincible out of the Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes heroine First Seal (Fastnet Rock). He will oppose the Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou-trained filly Call Di the product of champions Frankel (GB) and Samantha Miss.

The winner of two barrier trials, Golden Age was a $500,000 purchase for Hawkes racing from the Sledmere Stud draft at the 2021 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Carry the colours of Alan Bell, Golden Age is the second foal of First Seal, who defeated Winx in the Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes and Group II Tea Rose Stakes and adding the Group II ATC Surround Stakes, Group II MRC Tristarc Stakes, and Group III ATC Millie Fox Stakes for China Horse Club.
