Oaklands Abuzz Ahead of Inglis Ready 2 RAce

Oaklands is a hive of activity as prospective buyers flock to the grounds for inspections ahead of tomorrow's Inglis Ready2Race Sale.

Group I sire Lope de Vega In all, there are 82 different sires represented in the 2017 catalogue including Lope De Vega and Sepoy, who sired Group 1 winners Santa Ana Lane and Alizee respectively last weekend.

Other leading stallions represented include I Am Invincible, Written Tycoon, High Chaparral, More Than Ready, Hinchinbrook, Smart Missile, Reward For Effort, Sebring, Not A Single Doubt, Pierro, Foxwedge, Medaglia d'Oro, So You Think, Star Witness and Bon Hoffa, plus first season sires Albrecht, Camelot, Dawn Approach, Declaration Of War, Epaulette, Eurozone, Fighting Sun, Kuroshio, Shamus Award, Sizzling, The Factor, Unencumbered, War and Zoustar.

There have been a multitude of pedigree updates since the catalogue was finalised, including but not restricted to:

  • Lot 3 (Lope de Vega x Red Obsession), HALF BROTHER to Red Excitement, 2nd in Gr2 Chelmsford to Winx

  • Lot 65 (Master of Design x Brandy Cocktail), closely related to FIESTA, 3rd in the ATC Gimcrack

  • Lot 124 (All Too Hard x Kalamata), HALF SISTER to Vintage Grove, recent winner at Morphettville

  • Lot 132 (So You Think x Le Clercq), from same family (from 2nd Dam) as Champagne Cuddles, second in both Golden Rose G1 and Flight Stakes G1.

In total, there have been 11 half or full siblings to catalogued horses win races since the catalogue went to print.

Steve Jostlear from Ampulla Lodge said his draft was "very popular Monday and it's looking like there's even more people here today inspecting, which is a great sign''.

Inspections continue into this afternoon and up until the sale begins.
