Rising Star for Justify

He might not be at Coolmore Australia this spring, but there is still tremendous interest in the progress of Triple Crown winner Justify (USA), who had another impressive debut  winner in the US  on Saturday and will have his Australian runners this season.

Dashing grey colt Champions Dream scored a commanding two and a quarter length win in the 7f maiden at Saratoga earning TDN Rising Star status for his performance.

 

Trained by John Oxley, the colt was bought for $425,000 at the OBS March 2YO Sale and has obviously got plenty of talent.

The first winner for Group II winning Tapit mare Dancinginherdreams. Champions Dream is the 12th first crop winner for Justify, who will have two runners in the Group I Spinaway Stakes on Sunday.

Justify has made a fast start with his Northern Hemisphere runners which include four stakes-winners – Statuette, Aspen Grove, Just Cindy and Justa Warrior.

Justify will have his  first Australian runners this season.

Justify will have yearlings for Australasian sales in 2023 and has foals arriving in Australia this spring.
