Clinton Payne - Tuesday October 3

The latest Caulfield and Melbourne Cup order of entries were released on Monday and The Metropolitan winner Foundry has been the mover.

The win of the Robert Hickmott-trained galloper saw the son of Galileo meet the ballot clause of both races, and the 1kg weight penalty issued for both races pushed him up to 44th in the Caulfield Cup order of entry and 60th in the pecking order for a Melbourne Cup start.

Foundry's chances of securing a start in both races will further improve next Tuesday when Caulfield Cup second declarations and Melbourne Cup first declarations close.

In the Melbourne Cup order of entry there are 11 internationals above him that are not heading to Australia – Order Of St George (1st), Albert (8th), Prize Money (14th), Barsanti (18th), St Michel (31st), Dylan Mouth (37th), Dal Harraild (38th), Red Verdon (45th), Travelling Man (46th), Natural Scenery (51st) and Apilobar (52nd).

Below are the latest order of entries for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.
