Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 31

The reigning Champion Hong Kong Sire, Deep Field struck at the Sunshine Coast where the Gillian Heinrich trained filly Fire Love won on debut over 1000m beating Capitalist colt Enterprise Legend by a neck.

A $150,000 Magic Millions Book 2 purchase from the Kenmore Lodge draft for Heinrich Bloodstock, Fire Love was bred by Letitia Langbecker of Embrook Stables and is the fourth winner from four foals to race from good producer Al Nova.

Fire Love provided a great result for her breeder Letitia Langbecker.

Also opening his account at Muswellbrook was the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Deep Field gelding Black Tahitian, who won by the best part of a length as favourite over 1000m.

Placed twice previously, Black Tahitian was overdue for a win.

A $280,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Gai Waterhouse / Adrian Bott / Kestrel Thoroughbreds / Best Bloodstock from the Newgate Farm draft, Black Tahitian is the first winner for stakes-placed Pearl Congenial, who comes from the family of Group I winner Super Seth.

Black Tahitian was bred and sold by Newgate and partners.

Deep Field has had a productive season siring 139 winners of over $9.6million with four Australian stakes-winners, plus his two international Group I winners in Sky Field (Hong Kong) and Al Muthana (South Africa).

The brilliant son of Northern Meteor stands at a fee of $88,000 this spring.
