Bred to Win Returns for Spring 2022

Media Release - Sunday July 31

What more fitting date could there be for the return of Bred To Win for its spring season than the horses’ birthday, Monday August 1!

The popular and informative half hour look at the thoroughbred breeding world will feature a number of first season sires throughout spring and catch up with some second and third season stallions whose runners are making a big impression.

With the issue of staff training and retention a major topic in the racing and breeding industry, Bred To Win will run a series of stories looking at training courses available and how we can encourage more workers into our great game.

Monday night’s episode features Widden Stud’s exciting Group 1 winning son of Deep Field, Portland Sky plus a story on Thoroughbred Breeders’ Australia’s Fast Track Program explaining the work that goes into farm stay employment during the 12-month course.

And in the entertaining Arrowfield Stud Horse Who Made You Love Racing, leading trainer Adrian Bott reveals the champion racehorse and sire who attracted him to the racing industry.

In coming weeks, the show will bring you a story on some elite Segenhoe Stud mares, a catch up with Arrowfield’s young sires Shalaa and Castelvecchio, a visit to Golden Slipper sire Rebel Dane and across the ditch so bring you Cambridge Stud’s 2YO Group 1 winner and son of Snitzel, Sword Of State.

Plus stallion news and sires’ lists, sales and pedigree information behind the latest stakes-winners and much more!

Bred To Win returns Monday August 1 – 7.30pm on Sky Thoroughbred Central Channel 528 and live streamed on racingnsw.com.au
