Jockey Francesco Ladu will remember his ride aboard Gamgoom at Hoppegarten in Germany earlier this week for all the wrong reasons.

Ladu was riding Gamgoom against Mourtajez in a 1200m heat of the Match Race Cup where two horses race other, the winner to go through to the next round.

On Wednesday Ladu was acknowledging the cheers of the crowd when this happened.
