The Listed Her Majesty’s Plate (1m6f) at Down Royal in Ireland was won by exciting young stayer Perotan, who scored a dominant win over older rivals as favourite.
Trained by Aidan O’Brien, the three year-old filly scored by two and three-quarter lengths taking her overall record to two wins in as many starts.
Bred by Barronstown Stud and raced by the Coolmore partners, Perotan has a big pedigree being a sibling to I winner Matterhorn, Group II winner Bangkok and stakes-winners Tactic and Yaazy.
She is the fifth stakes-winner among 10 winners from 112 foals to race from blue hen Darshaan mare Tanaghum, who is also the grand-dam of champion miler Ribchester.
Perotan is the fifth stakes-winner for Churchill, who returns to Australia this spring for Coolmore at a fee of $22,000.
