It's Monday and after a long weekend of football and horse racing, they're on again – this time at Warwick Farm and I've found a few that I reckon can win.
LEAD CHOREOGRAPHER (Warwick Farm Race 3 No 6)
This former import gave every indication he'd turned the corner leading into this campaign with some strong trials and backed that up with an impressive first-up win over this track/distance. The early indications are that it will prove a strong form race with the fifth-placed Know How coming out and winning impressively since in city midweek grade. Lead Choreographer drops in weight, rises in grade but doubt there is any more depth to this field and has the tactical pace to take up a position if Kerrin McEvoy wants to be handy.

I AM SERIOUS (Warwick Farm Race 6 No 8)
This is a smart mare and in the right race to have a decent bet. She won her first three starts when trained at Taree then was switched to the Chris Waller stable with the aim to win a bagful of city races. The four-year-old Choisir mare had trialled exceptionally well prior to her first-up run here but drew poorly, was caught wide and just so happened to bump into the subsequently stakes-placed mare Perizada when runner-up over 1200m here. Given a let-up since, gets Kerrin McEvoy aboard and should relish the rise to 1400m. Expected to win better races.

COSMOPOL (Warwick Farm Race 7 No 9)
An important gear change of blinkers first time is enough to convince me to have something on the Hawkes-trained Cosmopol to win. Has been steadily working into form this campaign and his last start fourth behind Wayanka/Interlocuter/Oklahoma Girl in a Saturday Benchmark 84 is certainly the right form reference. Set to peak fourth-up and with the addition of blinkers should find the front in a race devoid of any pace/pressure. The one to beat.

TO EXCESS (Warwick Farm Race 8 No 3)
His first-up win had to be seen to be appreciated. Was heavily backed in a Kembla Benchmark 69 (1000m) and after being slow away was last turning for home. Wound-up strongly and powered over top of rivals to win by a widening three lengths. It was a big win. There is a stack of pace engaged here so off the soft gate In Excess can find his feet before launching at them in the straight. Backmarkers in 1000m races can prove a headache as they often miss the boat, but at $6 – this is a worthy gamble.
