Racing’s Night of Champions Awards Back to Pre-Covid Glory

Media Release - Wednesday July 13

The NSW Racehorse Owners Association is delighted to be hosting their champion horse awards in their pre-Covid glory on Thursday, 25 August 2022 in the Royal Randwick Ballroom. The Association is doubly pleased to be hosting Racing’s NSW’s awards as well, the highlight being the coveted Bart Cummings Medal.

Excitement is mounting, with announcements of the award finalists being announced in early August. It is highlighted by the feature award, the NSW Champion Horse of the Year, sponsored by Gow-Gates Insurance.

“We are very grateful for the continued support of our award sponsors for this year’s event, Gow-Gates Insurance, the Australian Turf Club, TAB, SKY, Inglis, Wild Oaks, Arrowfield and Highclere and welcome new award sponsors, Sire Custodians and Woppitt Bloodstock,” said NSWROA President, Tony Mitevski.

“We are delighted to also be hosting Racing NSW’s awards, making for a great night celebrating the most successful horses and humans of the 21/22 racing year.”

This year via the ATC Foundation, the gala evening is supporting Equine Pathways Australia, a charity which supports athletes getting back into equestrian sports after illness or injury. A Monster Auction will be held to raise funds for an expansion of their NSW program.

Fund raising on the evening is via the auction of some top-class items which have been donated specifically for the event.

Tickets for the event are now available. To secure yours, please call Jane Henning on 0421 353 871, email owners@nswroa.com.au or go to the NSW Racehorse Owners Association’s website, www.nswroa.com.au for online bookings.
