Zoustar Hits 150 Winners for the Season

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 11

Widden Stud’s champion sire Zoustar passed the milestone of 150 winners for the season over the weekend and he’s achieved the feat from just 300 runners.

Zoustar cracks 150 winners for the season!

With a seasonal strike rate of 50% winners to runners, Zoustar is enjoying another sensational year with nine stakes-winners and progeny earnings just shy of $12million.

Widden Stud sires past and present account for five of the top 12 sires by winners in the country!

Sadly, Sebring is no longer with us, but Nicconi, Star Witness and Magnus are all available this spring on our Victorian roster.

Fans of Sebring will be quick to see the appeal of his exciting young lookalike son Gold Standard, who also joins the Widden Stud Victoria roster this spring, while we have tremendous faith in our gorgeous young stallion Zousain, who is set to follow in the footsteps of his sire Zoustar.

Gold Standard

Gold Standard has shot to fame with the emergence of his Group I winning filly Sheeza Belter from his first small crop of foals and stands at a fee of $17,600 this year.

Zousain

Off the back of his stunning first foals, Zousain covered 214 mares last year in his second season and is priced at $22,000 with his first yearlings set to impress at the sales of 2023.
