The 2022 National Broodmare and Stallion Share catalogue is now live on Gavelhouse Plus with 81 Lots.
Bidding will open on Monday 18th July and will close from 7pm (NZT) on Wednesday 20th July.
The catalogue is comprised of a mix of young and proven mares plus shares in New Zealand-based Group One sires Reliable Man and Shocking.
Among the many notable Lots are:
- Abit Iffey – from a three-time winner and a half to champion mare Zirna, this mare is a half to Tavernelle, a multiple Group winner. She is by Iffraaj, dam sire of champion mare Melody Belle, and is in foal to Hong Kong Champion Sire Per Incanto who will stand for $50,000 this season.
- Brianna – proven on the track and in the breeding barn, Brianna is a stakes winner and Group One place getter who has produced four winners including black-type fillies Can I Get An Amen and Moana. Offered in foal to Ocean Park as one of seven entries from Milan Park.
- Dee and Gee – a winner of seven including the Gr.3 New Zealand Cup and Listed CJC Metropolitan Trophy and placed in a further three stakes-races while also fourth in the Gr.1 Auckland Cup. By Darci Brahma, she has recently been retired and has not been to stud.
- Floria – an outstanding racemare by perennial champion sire Savabeel and from the sought after Soliloquy family. Her list of accomplishments includes the Gr.2 BRC Brisbane Cup, Gr.3 MRC Summoned Stakes and Gr.3 WRC Cuddle Stakes while her long list of stakes-placings includes third in the Gr.1 Tatt’s Tiara.
- Forever and Ever – an imported Monsun mare, she is from the Gr.1 Chantilly Prix de Diane runner up Time Ahead and is offered in foal to Ocean Park. All of Forever and Ever’s progeny to race are winners of multiple races including multiple Group performer Our Intrigue. She and Floria are part of Haunui Farm’s 12 mare draft.
- Il Quello Veloce – from the celebrated Parfore family, Il Quello Veloce is a Group One winner and champion two-year-old. She trained on to run a narrow second in the Gr.1 New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas and is offered in foal to U S Navy Flag as part of Pencarrow Stud’s four Lot draft.
- Sheezallmine – a Group Three winning sprinter by Darci Brahma son Super Easy, she won on six occasions and has not yet been to stud, presenting an exciting opportunity for her purchaser to mate her early in the season.
Covering sires include Ace High, Almanzor, Anders, Circus Maximus, Darci Brahma, Derryn, Eminent, Ocean Park, Per Incanto, Preferment, Proisir, Reliable Man, Ribchester, Shalaa, Shocking, Super Seth, Sweynesse, Tarzino, Telperion, Time Test, Tivaci, Turn Me Loose, U S Navy Flag, Vadamos, Vanbrugh and Zed.
New Zealand Bloodstock agents will be working their way through inspections throughout the coming week and will be able to provide assessments in due course.
Meanwhile, there is also a 66 Lot fortnightly mixed bloodstock sale with youngstock, racehorses and broodmares live. Bidding in this sale will end from 7pm (NZT) on Monday.
