The Spendthrift Australia Dispersal at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale this week highlighted the outstanding opportunity they gave to exciting young sire Dirty Work with 28 mares selling for up to $900,000 that had been covered by the brilliant son of Written Tycoon.

Dirty Work covered an outstanding book of mares for Spendthrift Australia last year.

Baccarat Baby is a half-sister to Duais and is in foal to Dirty Work.

Baccarat Baby is a half-sister by Casino Prince to triple Group I winner Duais and was covered by Dirty Work in her first season at stud. Foaled and raised at Widden Stud, as was her sibling Duais, Baccarat Baby is sure to be a great investment for her new owner.

Glenlogan Park / Steve Morely Bloodstock paid $520,000 for stakes-winning Zoustar mare Solar Star, who was in foal to Dirty Work in her second season.

Corumbene Stud paid $500,000 for Per Incanto’s Group I winning daughter Santa Monica (NZ), who was also in foal to Dirty Work in her second season at stud.

Nick Vass Bloodstock/Newgate Bloodstock paid $475,000 for stakes-winning Exceed and Excel mare Madeenaty, while B2B Thoroughbreds paid $400,000 for well bred Dawn Approach (IRE) mare Skagerrak, who comes from the Black Caviar family and is a half-sister to Group III winner Hanseatic.

Dirty Work stands his second season at Widden Stud Victoria at a fee of $16,500 and we look forward to seeing his foals arrive this spring at leading farms all over Australia.
