Million Dollar Mares Well Bought as Yearlings

Three top class racemares mares that all sold for $1milion at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on Tuesday were all purchased as yearlings and have proven great investments for their respective ownership groups.

Rubisaki sold for $1million.

Rubisaki was bought by Joe O’Neil’s Prime Thoroughbreds from the Edinburgh Park draft at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Book 2 for $85,000 in 2018 and was trained by Patrick Payne.

The daughter of Rubick went on to win multiple Group races and earned over $1.2million in prizemoney.

consigned for sale by Yarraman Park on behalf of her owners and sold today for $1million to James Harron Bloodstock for Morningside.

 

 

 

 

Swift Witness sold for $1million.

A powerhouse chestnut by Star Witness, Swift Witness was bought by her trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott from the Widden Stud draft at Magic Millions for $260,000 and won the Group II ATC Silver Shadow Stakes and over $330,000 in prizemoney.
 



Offered by Glenesk Thoroughbreds (Randwick Bloodstock) on behalf of her owners, Swift Witness was bought for $1million by Dermot Farrington Bloodstock, UK.

 

 

Ballistic Lover sold for $1million.

Fleet footed Smart Missile mare Ballistic Lover was bought for just $80,000 from Magic Millions Book 2 from the Newgate Farm draft by Tricolours Racing and Syndication and was prepared throughout her career by Joe Pride.

A two time Listed winner that was also fourth in the Group I MVRC Moir Stakes, Ballistic Lover won over $460,000 in prizemoney and comes from a female family that features triple Group I winning 3YO colt Hitotsu.
 



Offered in the Newgate Consignment, Ballistic Lover was sold for $1million to China Horse Club, Singapore for $1million.
