Hot Lots Magic Millions Weanling Sale Day 2

The Magic Millions National Weanling Sale continues on Friday at the Gold Coast with some quality youngsters set to go under the hammer, so let’s take a look at some of the featured lots with images that are tipped to top and they include a pair  of colts by Frankel and the only weanlings in the sale by Snitzel and I Am Invincible.

Lot 223 Filly Snitzel x Enjaaz, by I Am Invincible – Emirates Park


The only Snitzel in the sale and is the first foal of an unraced daughter of Group I winning 2YO Peggy Jean

Lot 225 Colt Capitalist x Espaaniyah, by I Am Invincible – Emirates Park


First foal of stakes-winning 2YO Espaaniyah from the family of this year’s Group I ATC Chapagne Stakes winner She’s Extreme.

Lot 229 Colt I Am Invincible x Faint Perfume, by Shamardal (USA) – Yarraman Park

The only I Am Invincible in the sale and is a half-brother to Group II winner Good Idea and Group III winner Chains of Honour from Champion 3YO Filly and dual Group I winner Faint Perfume.

Lot 234 Colt Frankel x Fix, by Iffraaj (GB) – Coolmore

Three-quarter brother to this year’s Group III placed 3YO Galileo filly Know Thyself and is from Champion NZ 3YO Filly  and multiple Group winner Fix.

Lot 243 Colt Deep Field x Germanotta, by I Am Invincible – Spendthrift Australia Dispersal

First foal of winning half-sister to Group I placed Reemah and daughter of Group II winner Vormista.

Lot 304 Colt Too Darn Hot (GB) x Latitude, by Casino Prince – Rosari Farm

 

The only colt in the sale by exciting first season sire Too Darn Hot and is third foal of winning half-sister to stakes-winner Sugar Boom from a fast Black type female family.

Lot 305 Filly Extreme Choice x Leamington (USA), by Pleasant Tap – Milburn Creek

One of only two fillies in the sale by boom sire Extreme Choice and is a half-sister to three winenrs from US stakes-winner from international Black Type family.

Lot 312 Filly Exceedance x Loved Up, by Nicconi – Vinery Stud

From the first crop of G1 winning 3YO sprinter Exceedance and is from stakes-winner Loved Up, whose stakes-winning half-sister Liesele had a Zousain weanling filly sell in Sydney last week for $130,000.

Lot 316 Filly Too Darn Hot (GB) x Lusitania, by Sepoy – Yarraman Park


One of only two fillies in the sale by Too Darn Hot and is from a winning half-sister to Champion Filly and four time Group I winner Alinghi.

Lot 322 Filly Extreme Choice x Majestueux, by Snitzel – Taghadoe Stud

The second filly in the sale by Extreme Choice and is the third foal a Snitzel mare from an international Black Type family

Lot 333 Filly Zoustar x Members Joy, by Hussonet (USA) – Segenhoe Stud


Half-sister  to Group II winner Pure Elation from stakes-winner Members Joy.

Lot 337 Colt Super Seth x Miss Bling, by Golan (IRE)   - Spendthrift Australia


The only weanling in the sale by Dundeel’s Caulfield Guineas winner Super Seth. Half-brother to stakes-winner Gold Bracelet from a full sister to Champion HK Miler Beauty Flash.

Lot 356 Colt Frankel x Nechita, by Fastnet Rock - Coolmore

Three-quarter brother to Group III winners Harpo Marx and Forbearance as well as promising 3YO filly Awesome Wonder running this Saturday at Rosehill. From Group I winner Nechita.

Lot 358 Colt So You Think x Nicconi Leggera, by Nicconi – Attunga Stud
 

Third foal of metro winning half-sister to the dam of Group III winner Irukandji from the family of Golden Slipper winning sire Danzero.

Lot 397 Colt So You Think x Afiado, by Encosta de Lago – Kenmore Lodge

Third foal of a placed sister to Group II placed In the Vanguard, dam of Champion NZ 2YO and Group I winner Sword of State.

Sword of State Comes Full Circle
When Te Akau boss David Ellis attended Magic Millions in 2020 he returned to New Zealand with seven yearlings that included a $360,000 filly by I Am Invincible and a $600,000 colt by Snitzel, the former was NZ Horse of the Year Imperatriz and the latter was Champion NZ 2YO Sword of State, whose first yearlings will be offered at the Gold Coast in January.
Promising New Winner for Black Caviar
The racing and bloodstock world were saddened earlier this year following  the passing of undefeated world champion sprinter Black Caviar and her memory was recalled at Wangaratta on Monday when her three year-old filly Persian Caviar made a winning debut.

After a busy weekend of racing, the Magic Millions order of entry for the 2YO Classic and 3YO Guineas have been given a shake up with two fillies by Blue Point (IRE), a stallion that has had a mixed reception Australia, shooting into contention for the big day at the Gold Coast on January 11.
Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill
A busy set of trials at Rosehill on Monday morning featured four heats for juveniles and the winners were all unraced youngsters by Tassort, Too Darn Hot (GB), Super Seth and Golden Slipper winner Farnan, while a Wootton Bassett (GB) colt showed he could possibly still get to the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
