One To Watch - Mudgee!

Breednet - Sunday May 8

A 1400m Mudgee maiden on a heavy track may not often be a key formline but when it’s a heavily backed, easy winning half-sister by So You Think to a Group One winner from a top stable, it does prick the ears.

Show Me Your Love is the horse in question, a Kris Lees trained 3YO filly which opened at $3.80 and went to the post a raging $1.90 favourite.

Show Me Your Love as a yearling

She was allowed to find her feet from barrier one by Dylan Gibbons and put paid to what opposition was in front with some comfort.

Having just her second start, Show Me Your Love is out of Soho Secret (Lucky Owners), dam of Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Vanbrugh, and a daughter of outstanding broodmare Professionelle, dam of four stakes winners in Hoystar, King Of Prussia, Prisoner Of Love and Sportsman.

She was a $160,000 purchase at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for Hall Of Fame Bloodstock from the Widden Stud draft.

It also keeps the perfect record going for the So You Think / Lucky Owners nick with five runners for five winners – click here for details.

Soho Secret has a 2YO filly named South Of Houston in the Mick Price/Michel Kent stable, a yearling by Deep Field, weanling by Nicconi and was served by Zousain last season.
