Consigned for sale by Newhaven Park, Lot 5 into the sale ring at Riverside Stables on Tuesday morning made a big splash to start the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale on a high when selling for $900,000.
By champion sire Zoustar, he is the third foal of Group III winning Snippetson mare Vergara and is no stranger to the sale ring having topped the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale last year when making $360,000 for Blue Gum Farm when bought by BBT Breeding and Racing Pty Ltd.

This time around he was bought by China Horse Club/Newgate Bloodstock/Trilogy Racing and Henry Field was full of praise for the colt when interviewed by Jemma Cutting for Inglis.
“We thought he was the best Zoustar colt in the sale and he’s going to develop into a lovely 3YO,”: he said.
“We see him as a Golden Rose or Caulfield Guineas style of colt.”
From the family of dual Group I winner and sire Turffontein, Vergara has a weanling colt by Snitzel and is empty this year after missing to Exceed and Excel last spring.
