There is always great interest in the progeny of first season sires stepping out at the trials so Breednet are tracking them and our report for this week features 12 stallions with unraced trial winners in the pipeline including two winners for Newgate Farm’s Russian Revolution, who is currently the leading first season sire by earnings.
Russian Revolution had the Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt Czar win at the Rosehill trials on Tuesday and the Robert Heathcote trained filly Ekaterina win at Doomben last week.
The report catalogues the performance of all progeny of first season sires up until they race offering a quick way to see anything of interest that may be in the pipeline.
These horses remain on the list up until they go to the races, so the list only features UNRACED two year-olds.
First season sires with trial winners on this list this week are: Almanzor (Fr), Caravaggio (USA), Heroic Valour, Highland Reel (IRE), Impending, Merchant Navy, Pariah, Russian Revolution, Spieth, The Mission, Thronum and Time Test (GB)
