Enable a firm favourite for the Arc

Tom Walter - Thursday September 28

Champion three-year-old filly Enable is a commanding odds-on favourite to win Europe's most prestigious race – the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (2400m) – at Chantilly this weekend.

Winner of the Oaks, Irish Oaks, King George and Yorkshire Oaks, Enable is shooting for a fifth consecutive Group I win on the first Sunday of October.

Online bookmaker Sportsbet has John Gosden's all-conquering filly quoted at $1.83 to claim the lion's share of €5 million (approximately AU$7.44 million).

Gosden will retain the services of four-time Arc winner Frankie Dettori, a rider-trainer combination that yielded success in the 2015 edition of the race with Golden Horn.

This year's Arc is also set to feature 2015 Cox Plate third placegetter Highland Reel, one-time Melbourne Cup favourite Order Of St George, and another four-time Group I-winning filly in Winter.
