FRENCH CONNECTION resumes after a 26 week spell and placed four times in last four, needs the breaks.

Race 2 summary - Looks likely to be hot speed early. LIFE ON THE WIRE first-up after 31 week break and in decent form, tough to beat. BURMA has won twice at Launceston before and should race on the speed, needs the breaks. TURTLES NEST much better, placing at Devonport last time out and should race on the speed, place best. METEOR STRIKE winner or placed in three of past seven and expect to lead, place hope.
Race 2 tips - 1st: LIFE ON THE WIRE (2), 2nd: BURMA (8), 3rd: TURTLES NEST (11), 4th: METEOR STRIKE (4).

Race 3 summary - A number of horses will look to battle it out for the early lead. BY THE POUND let-up and first run for a new trainer, serious player. NIELSON let-up for six weeks and led throughout for a dominant win last start at Devonport, quinella. GEE GEE SUN VALLEY has very strong form at Launceston and should race on the speed, not the worst. KYOGLE SON winner in four of past five runs and honest frontrunner, chance to place.
Race 3 tips - 1st: BY THE POUND (5), 2nd: NIELSON (1), 3rd: GEE GEE SUN VALLEY (10), 4th: KYOGLE SON (2).

Race 4 summary - Doesn't appear much depth to this field. HE'S TOUGH ENOUGH has speed to burn and should be an early leader, hard to go past. ARAYA HOPE draws to do no work and fitter for recent runs, not without each-way claims. MALACHITE QUEST faded to finish a length off the winner last start at Devonport and goes up in distance for the first time, don't treat lightly. SHIVIDA finished three lengths off the winner last start at Devonport but capable of closing gamely and should be fit enough, place only.
Race 4 tips - 1st: HE'S TOUGH ENOUGH (1), 2nd: ARAYA HOPE (10), 3rd: MALACHITE QUEST (5), 4th: SHIVIDA (4).

Race 5 summary - GALLOW GATE has multiple wins at Launceston and likely to race on the speed, well placed. CHARLEMAGNE'S GIRL hasn't been too far away in past few and should race on the speed, the real danger in the race. TILLATION came on to finish midfield last start at Devonport and should race just off the speed, each-way claims. AXION chased strongly to win last start at Devonport and winner or placed in three of past seven, could upset.
Race 5 tips - 1st: GALLOW GATE (3), 2nd: CHARLEMAGNE'S GIRL (7), 3rd: TILLATION (8), 4th: AXION (9).

Race 6 summary - EARL DA VINCI first-up after 26 week spell and first race for Scott Brunton, perfectly placed. OM NOM in decent form and last start winner to break maiden at Devonport, chance to place. MANSPLAINING back from eight week let-up and winner or placed in four of past seven, place claims. ISLAND PIRATE finished fourth last start at Devonport when resuming and has gone well on a softer track, chance to place.
Race 6 tips - 1st: EARL DA VINCI (1), 2nd: OM NOM (6), 3rd: MANSPLAINING (3), 4th: ISLAND PIRATE (2).

Race 7 summary - TAMMANY HALL kept chasing and just missed last start at Devonport, major contender. GWEMRAE goes well at Launceston and should race off the speed in a race with plenty of early pressure, include in exotics. KOOL KASH won or placed five of last six and has very strong form at Launceston, for the exotics. KANJI placed when unwanted in the betting last start at Devonport when resuming and relishes the heavy, capabable of getting into the money with a bit of luck.
Race 7 tips - 1st: TAMMANY HALL (4), 2nd: GWEMRAE (6), 3rd: KOOL KASH (1), 4th: KANJI (3).

Race 8 summary - This looks like a one act affair. ANOTHER BROTHER and came on strong to win last start to break maiden at Devonport and winner or placed in six of past seven, rates a long way in front. KINGSCLERE placed in last three and finished on the winner's heals last start at Devonport, for the exotics. SUPER LEANE ran fifth last start at Devonport when first up and likely to race on the speed with minimal pressure expected, consider in exotics. PINKEYES PRIDE short back-up of three days and faded to finish three lengths off the winner last start at Hobart on a heavy track, for the wider exotics.
Race 8 tips - 1st: ANOTHER BROTHER (1), 2nd: KINGSCLERE (5), 3rd: SUPER LEANE (2), 4th: PINKEYES PRIDE (6).
