Making her first appearance since finishing a troubled seventh on debut at Geelong last September, Yulong Stud’s Frankel filly My Whisper left six opponents without an excuse in a 3yo fillies maiden over 1200m at Kilmore on Thursday.
Ridden by Jordan Childs for Peter and Paul Snowden My Whisper came with a sustained run from back in the field to defeat the favoured Tivaci filly All She Wrote by three-quarter of a lengths with the Capitalist filly Maly Malt a further two lengths back in third.
“She has always shown a good bit of ability at home, stable representative Shiree Knowles said.
“She is a little bit of a highly strung filly but she has shown ability at the trials and in trackwork, so it was good to get the win today.
“In her first run she was a bit unlucky - he was slow out the gates and had a lot of work to do and he ran on nicely.
